For National Mentoring Month, America Mentors is Announcing 20 Free Mentoring Programs for First-Generation, Low-Income College Students
COLUMBUS, OHIO — America Mentors’ mission is to help increase college graduation rates for first-generation, low-income students through mentoring. For National Mentoring Month, America Mentors (powered by MentorcliQ), is offering 20 new programs in 2018 with free mentoring software for colleges, universities and community organizations.
- AmericaMentors is offering free mentoring software for 1st gen/low-income college students
- 11% of first-generation, low-income students graduate college, compared to 55% of peers who are not first-generation, low-income students. First-generation students also demonstrate lower rates of college readiness compared to their non-first-generation peers, according to a Pell Institute Study.
